In an effort to be as fair and accurate as possible, we assembled a team of ATB experts from around the world to collectively observe, evaluate and intuit each team’s P*S”M*E score from their unique POV and wicked-valid area of expertise. OFFICIAL COURSE CRITERIA:
Courses need to be a minimum of 150 MILES LONG.
Courses need to be at least 50% DIRT; double track, fire roads, game trails, hike-a-bike, gravel roads, fall-lines, bushwacking, overlanding, etc.
Known hiking and multisport miles (rafting, rappelling, running, peak bagging, etc.) miles are worth 5X; e.g. if you have to take your bike apart and strap it to a pack raft for seven miles that will count as 35 miles. Dabbing, pushing, dragging, carrying and hike-a-biking through steep/challenging sections does not count.
Courses can be located ANYWHERE IN THE UNITED STATES.
Teams need to finish in EXACTLY 29 HOURS.
Teams will be allowed to stop (in any one place) FOR NO LONGER THAN 2 HOURS AT A TIME.
Courses can be located ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD. *If you live outside the United States and win, some of the prizes will not be available to you because most of the laws and rules that govern this kind of exchange are made to serve capitalism and not the needs of individual people.
