We are seeing minor route modifications from a few of our teams to match the time requirements. This isn’t against the rules, provided their route still matches the requirements.

We reached The Gladiator movie location and we havw 75 miles to go, so it means we are halfway, in theory. Our legs are still working, but our minds not so much, we unintentionally cut 40km from our route. We wonder what could happen in the next hours

Team out to lunch finally got some service. Spent a long cold night on the river. Floated from 5pm to 3:30am.

“We stash the charcuterie board and wine mid-ride for a spiritual boost”

Crossed 3 rivers which were thigh deep and freezing! Carolyn then slipped and fell off her bike in a small landslide and it was terrifying. She was miraculously unharmed but were all a bit shaken by the experience. Currently warming up in a nice bothy where someone has been recently and lit the fire! Onwards

We are safely out of that hell hole mud pit. We just scrambled up a cliff face with bikes and rafts on out backs. We are now in search of the nearest road.
After a very steep and very technical descent we reached an area that was completely muddy due to a flood that obliterated the road and submerged the ford we were supposed to cross. We looked for a less hostile spot in the river and traversed it barefoot.

We’ve hit the river and there’s wayyyy less water than expected we’ve had to portage twice and have drug our boats through quite a bit. Not completely sure this float is possible yet but we’ll see hahaha

ATB to Upper Svaneti. They have a special salt. They have cheese filled bread. They have glaciers. They have humidity. They have WARGS.
Push your physical, spiritual, mental and emotional limitations in the pursuit of transformation and transcendence to WIN THE ATB CHALLENGE SEASON 2: FLECHE IT OUT. Winners get beer.
This year we’re looking for 5 teams of three to ride and document the ultimate ATB course of their own design.
ATB is about finding the most creative line possible. Are speed boats on the Columbia headed downriver past multiple 500 foot tall lochs reminiscent of Ridley Scott Sci-Fi movie allowed in the ATB challenge. Great question. I hope someone asks us.
